Another day, Another week

Hey guys, it's team FireFlash here bringing you a new update.

We set out this week on our new tasks and for the most part completed them.We had minor issues with communication and ended the week just shy of this week's quota. Fortunately, if we can stick to what we discussed about the unwraps and achieve everything we set out to do for this week, then i have little doubt we will be ill prepared for the presentation of the prototype.


The art from my previous designs has been scrapped, and this week it was my task to create a new tile-able background that will save greatly on memory usage and will not become something of a problem. i managed to create 12 different tile-able background tiles and(When tiled correctly) tile properly. The only problem we have found with the tiles is that they out shine the rest of the game. To deal with this, i simply have to darken the background. In the future, I've decided to try and make tiles that fade out over time and can be used as a foreshadowing to the end of the game. Another problem we have faced during this 2 and a half week period, is that i have yet to texture anything. Hopefully I'll have the necessary UV unwraps that have been ORGANIZED and therefore allow for easier texturing, reducing the workload on my part. I have re-sized mostly everything I've created since the previous week to both fit on the ipad and the iphone. I have still yet to re-size the menus, although, they are not as important as texturing the gameplay objects, so the objects come first. I've also created a few textures for the gameplay objects and will adjust them or create new ones if need be. Below is an example of the changes made to the background:
