General progress

How are you doing guys? Duran Boskovic (level designer) here to give you an update on our general progress..... it's been a bit bleak. So the fracturing that's been happening has been in the group has been crippling our progress but all is not lost and we aren't giving up!

VISUALS

ART
In a battlefield effort our Artist has been working on the fourth generation of our art style! This is no small undertaking and is being done in close conjunction with our Modeller. Now the main changes are going to be to that of our ship and assets (Turrets, roads, and so on) this will mean a LOT of re-texturing and is an issue that whole team are keeping a close eye on.

MODELLING
Our Modeller has been working tirelessly on getting as many city scape building models done and to an acceptable standard, the current count is at eleven buildings with approx. four more to go. in addition to this our Modeller is modifying our ship to look more nimble, he will also be working closely with our artist in the new texturing and design of the model itself.

AUDIO

SOUND
Our General Designer has been creating a sizeable data base of sounds to be used in our game, he has currently gathered and created twelve files in total while doing editing work on them. There is also multiple soundtracks pending for use in our main and time attack mode.

PROGRAMMING
Our Programmer has been advancing the code on the all vital array system this includes: sequential spawning of the see through road directly under the player, the array that spawns the level tiles as well as the code that spawns our city scape at the bottom. In addition to this our tireless coder is fixing bugs which have been causing problems when our player collides with our obstacles (not a small issue!), alongside bugs in our shield system.

LEVEL DESIGN
A minor re-design is taking place with our level design, instead of designing fifteen levels we have decided to make three to five well thought out and lengthy levels, as such the levels currently built will be subject to minor re-design (re-positioning assets) and adding addition content, while also designing and building new levels entirely!
